Glowbyte Game
Hometail Shuffle Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
The current closed-testing build works without a Hometail Shuffle account. Gameplay saves and playtest measurements remain on the device unless the player deliberately exports a report.
Current closed-testing build
- Local game data: level progress, settings, earned Paw Tokens, shelter progress, and active-rescue state are stored locally on the device.
- Local playtest measurements: attempts, wins, failures, restarts, hint use, move counts, completion time, and a tester checklist are stored locally. Glowbyte Game does not automatically receive this information.
- Player-initiated exports: the player may choose to copy or export a playtest report. The game does not automatically upload that report.
- No account requirement: the closed-testing build does not require Google, social-media, or Hometail Shuffle sign-in.
Advertising and purchases
Hometail Shuffle is planned to support advertising and optional premium purchases. When those features are enabled in a released build:
- Google AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, diagnostics, ad interactions, and consent choices to deliver, limit, measure, and protect ads.
- Google Play Billing processes payments. Glowbyte Game does not receive full payment-card details. Google may provide order identifiers, purchase tokens, product identifiers, and transaction status so purchases can be verified and restored.
- The app and this policy will provide any additional notices and consent choices required before advertising or account data is processed.
Future online accounts and cloud features
The production version is planned as an online service with required account authentication, beginning with Google sign-in on Android. It will use cloud saves and a server-side entitlement record for purchase recovery and fraud prevention. Additional social sign-in providers may be added later. These features are not active in the current closed-testing build. Before enabling them, Glowbyte Game will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration to describe the exact data collected, its purpose, retention, security, service providers, account linking, and account-deletion process.
Sharing
Glowbyte Game does not sell personal information. The current closed-testing build does not automatically send gameplay or playtest data to Glowbyte Game or third parties. Future Google services will receive only the information required for the enabled sign-in, billing, cloud, consent, or advertising feature, as described above and in updated disclosures.
Retention and deletion
Local game and playtest data remain on the device until the player resets progress, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Google retains Play transactions and other Google-service data under its own policies. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, keep required business records, and protect the service.
Security
Glowbyte Game uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Children
Hometail Shuffle is not specifically directed to children under 13. The current closed-testing build does not create accounts or automatically collect personal information. If the intended audience or data practices change, Glowbyte Game will apply the appropriate family, consent, and advertising protections before release.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be disclosed where required.
